How long does installation take?
Typically 3–4 weeks from deposit to installation, which is among the fastest in the industry. Every screen and blind is custom-made to our site measurements, so the clock starts once you approve the quote and the order goes to the manufacturer.
Are your security screens compliant with Australian standards?
Yes — our CommandeX security range complies with AS 5039, the Australian security screen standard, when fitted with the 3-point locking system. Our barrier and retractable ranges are not security products, and we’ll always tell you which is which before you spend a dollar.
How much do security screens cost?
It depends on the size of the opening, the mesh or grille type, whether it’s a door or a window, and installation access — every job is custom-made. We measure and quote free at your home, and the price we leave with you is fixed.
Do you have a showroom I can visit?
No — Slideit is a mobile business, and that’s deliberate. We bring the manufacturers’ sample kits to your door, so you compare mesh, fabrics and finishes in your home’s own light, and the money a showroom would cost stays out of your quote.
